Lisa Ophoven

Lisa Ophoven is a fashion, commercial, fitness and music photographer. Beginning as a first assistant, she quickly found a love for more than just lighting and directing. While working as first assistant on the Showtime sets for Homeland and other top originals (actor photographs), she began working on street photography. This got Lisa her first gallery showing at Smashbox Studios, which was actually Los Angeles street photography all shot on iPhone. From here, she continued working on top projects in Hollywood, as first assistant, while also starting to shoot editorial and hair campaigns. Her first hair shoot was for a prominent Sebastian artist. She worked with many fashion designers in LA. She worked on avant grade fashion editorials while also beginning to work with some of the rock bands in the area. This led to press work at some of the big music festivals, and working with more bands. She quickly caught on to capturing the action and emotion during a dimly lit concert. Lisa realized as an artist herself, she enjoys capturing other artists at work. Then she began to do some commercial, advertising and lifestyle work. She also found yoga and began to meld her love of movement with shooting fitness professionals. Lisa was invited to become a Getty Images contributor and began to be published around the world. She has been published in various local publications, also the New York Times, many Japanese publications, Australian publications, many different music publications in Los Angeles, Philocaly Magazine, Yoga+Life, and more. She has created advertising work for clients in North America and China.
